It is with GREAT excitement that we invite you to join us in Bay Minette, Alabama on Saturday, June 19th for RIDEYELLOW 2010 – the 4th annual charity bike ride that has ALWAYS been more than just a bike ride.
In October 2009 we proudly represented the riders and volunteers of RIDEYELLOW in Austin, Texas to present a $15,000 check to the Lance Armstrong Foundation; which brought RIDEYELLOW’s total donation to LAF to more than $100,000 since 2005.
In 2009 we also very proudly presented a check to the USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital - USS HOPE pediatric cancer unit for $25,000. It felt good to raise money for a local cancer charity. So good, in fact, that in 2010 we seek to spotlight the importance of HOPE to local charities that focus on children with cancer. To that end, RIDEYELLOW will raise funds for the USS HOPE and Camp Rap-A-Hope. These two local organizations are fighting the good fight right here in Mobile and Baldwin counties.
As always, a portion of our fundraising efforts will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a group whose mission is to inspire and empower people affected by cancer and to demand change for the 28 million people around the world living with cancer today.
RIDEYELLOW is a dynamic, colorful, and fun event drawing over 400 cyclists of every level from more than 10 states. Our sponsors have allowed us to present a truly meaningful experience not only for the riders, but for the hundreds of volunteers involved as well. It is important to point out that almost every rider and volunteer rides or works in honor of or in memory of a loved one affected by cancer.
